(15.11.06) Jo's quit her Job!
My god this is really happening now, Jo has quit her job. Yikes!


(18.12.06) Trip All Booked!
Went into Bournemouth today to book the Round the World Ticket (With STA Travel) Took about an hour to finally sort, must have spent about 3 hours in there over the last few weeks, so complicated when you need all your dream destinations linked up on the one deal. Went to Alcatraz restaurant across the road and had a celebratory Pizza and glass of wine for lunch, Jo had the biggest smile I have ever seen! Me thinks she's a little bit excited.

(15.12.06) Jo's Last Day at Work
My last day at X-Net was Friday 15th December. The two weeks in the run up training Karen as my replacement flew by so quickly that all of a sudden the last day arrived. I was tearful and easily set off by people being nice to me - one sure way to embarrass your work mates is to break down in tears in front of them! Poor Karen must have been sick of me blubbing on her shoulder. Julia and I had celebrated my departure with a Chinese lunch although apparently she had much more important commitments than coming into work on my last day - something to do with horses apparently (only joking mate!!). Well it wouldn't be the same if I didn't insult you one last time would it!? Ginger nut? My parting gift to Julia was to decorate her desk in her absence with every kind of tacky Xmas decoration I could lay my hands on. Just wish I could have seen your face! Even Jonathan the seagull has baubels. Going back in on 22nd for a joint leaving do and head wetting party so looking forward to letting my hair down with a great bunch of people I can truly say it's been a pleasure to know. But most of all I will miss seeing Julia every day - never worked with anyone who was so on my wavelength. Thanks for the laughs and I'll look forward to ruining your diets again when I return!

PS. Mike is a decorator so was simple for him, he just stopped taking on new work in the run up to leaving.


(Dec 2006) - Final farewells to all!
Wow you don't realise how many friends you've got until you take up the task of trying to have goodbye drinks with every single one of them, it's costing us a fortune in Paracetamols! arrrrggh! 2 weeks later we still haven't got round to seeing everyone. Gonna miss you all peeps! Never seen Jo blub so much.
